How Calcdesk handles cookies, advertising, analytics, and your data.

Last updated: July 2026

Calcdesk (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website calcdesk.online. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at support@calcdesk.online.

Information We Do Not Collect

All calculator inputs (loan amounts, weights, heights, dates, and any other values you enter) are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never sent to our servers, never stored, and never used for any purpose. Your financial and health information stays on your device.

Information We Do Collect Automatically

When you visit calcdesk.online, we automatically receive certain technical information:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard web server logging retained briefly for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4, including page views, session duration, country-level location, and device type. This helps us understand which calculators are most useful and improve the site.
  • Advertising data: Google AdSense serves advertisements and may collect data about your browsing for ad personalisation. See “Advertising and Cookies” below.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics, advertising, and a small functional cookie to remember your cookie consent choice. You can accept, reject, or customise cookies via our cookie banner or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time.

Essential cookies: Required for the site to function (cookie consent preference). Cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies that help us understand site usage. Collect anonymised, aggregated data only.

Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense to serve relevant advertisements and measure their performance.

Advertising and Cookies

Calcdesk uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via:

If you reject advertising cookies via our consent banner, we will serve non-personalised advertisements where technically possible.

Google Analytics and Consent Mode

We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2. If you decline analytics cookies, Google Analytics operates in a restricted mode that does not set cookies and does not collect identifiable data about your session. We use analytics solely to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve our calculators.

Third-Party Services

Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may collect standard request information. See Google Privacy Policy.

Frankfurter API: The currency converter uses api.frankfurter.dev for live exchange rates. This service may receive your IP address as part of the API request. We do not send any personal information.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Data Retention

Server log data is retained for up to 90 days for security purposes. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (configurable default). Cookie consent preferences are stored in your browser for up to 1 year. We do not maintain personal databases of user information.
